Your ONCHAIN® Account is wallet-agnostic, meaning it works with both the embedded wallet you get at signup and any external wallet addresses you add. You choose where each purchase is delivered, and you can switch between wallets at any time.
Your embedded wallet (included when you sign up)
When you create an ONCHAIN® Account, you automatically receive an embedded wallet that’s ready to use immediately. There’s no setup required—no extensions, no seed phrases, no onboarding steps. You can complete your first purchase right away.
The embedded wallet is part of the smart-account structure inside your ONCHAIN® Account, and it lives fully on-chain.
Using your own wallet (optional)
If you prefer to use a wallet you already control, you can add any external wallet address to your address book, including:
MetaMask
Trust Wallet
A hardware wallet (Ledger, Trezor, etc.)
Any self-custody address
Once added, you can select that address during checkout as the delivery destination.
Switching between wallets
At checkout, you can choose:
your embedded ONCHAIN® wallet, or
any external address you’ve added to your address book
This choice only affects where your purchased assets are delivered.
Good to know
ONCHAIN® never takes custody of your funds. Assets are delivered directly on-chain to the wallet you select.
The wallet you choose does not affect pricing, quotes, supported payment methods, or what you’re eligible to buy.
You can update or remove external wallet addresses at any time.
